President’s Update:

This December 9, 2023 quarterly MARC meeting will take place on line. Details of connecting to the meeting can be found below.

Thanks to the Efforts of Vice President Keith Armitage KD8ZSK, we have had a number of inquiries for new volunteers. This task has been long in coming, and it is good to see the interest grow. Hopefully we will be introducing these volunteers at the upcoming meeting on December 9th. I do recommend that if you plan to attend using your computer audio, that you download the software and test to make sure that your sound and Microphone work as intended before the meeting begins.

Our current board has been busy trying to keep up with all of the tasks that need to be done, and Phil W8IC is spending much time right now training the new volunteers. I really need to say a special thanks to Phil for the efforts he is making.

Of course, as we bring this year to a close, we also ask people to take a look and see when the last time their TDS was updated. Taking the New Year as a good time to remind us that we need to update the TDS for our repeaters annually.

I hope that everyone has a blessed and happy holiday season this year.

   3. If the meeting organizer is already present,
        you'll be connected. If not, you'll be
        placed on hold until the organizer appears.

WEBMEETING & Phone Bridge:

Using your web browser

   1. Activate your Web Browser
   2. Go To https://join.freeconferencecall.com/marc-meeting
   3. Enter your name and email address
   4. Click the phone icon, you will have a choice to
        select using a telephone or your computer for
        audio if you have speakers and mic.
   5. If you select computer you should connect.
   6. If selecting telephone you will be presented with a number
        to dial and an access code.
   7. When prompted enter the access code followed by the # symbol.
   8. Once the audio connects you will need to press # once again
        and enter the synch code followed by the # symbol.
   9. You should now be connected.
       

Participation in the web-meeting is only needed for things like slideshow presentations, or use of a whiteboard where someone may need to do an illustration. It also allows us the opportunity to display the actual text of a motion for everyone to read. If you are unable to participate in the web-meeting you may still join in on the phone bridge from wherever you are.

Meeting called to order by Dan at 1:04 PM

Minutes of the last meeting were read by Ann. Motion to approve minutes from the last
meeting was made by Phil, seconded by Keith, vote taken, minutes approved.

Treasurer's report provided by Dan. He provided a report which covered year to date information. The next report will be the in the standard format. Motion to approve the report was made by Ann, seconded by Phil, vote taken, Motion passed.

Discussion on surrounding states and database update requests.

Old Business:

Elections: Nominations and voting.
Nominations for VP opened, motion to elect Keith was made by Phil, seconded by Ann, vote taken. Keith was elected Vice President.

Treasurer nominations: Phil made a motion to elect Dan, Ann seconded. No other nominations for Treasurer. Vote taken, Dan was elected Treasurer.

Nominations for Director opened: Phil Nominated Jim K8JK, seconded by Ann. No other nominees. Vote taken, Jim re-elected as Director .

New Business:

Discussion on recruiting more volunteers for MARC. Phil and Ann will be retiring from MARC at the next September 2024 meeting. At this time, a Treasurer, Secretary and one or two coordinators will be needed. Other positions are also needing volunteers
