President’s Update:

Everyone is dealing with COVID-19. I hope everyone MARC is working with is staying healthy. If you get a provisional coordination and need more time to build the repeater or antennas, let MARC know and an extension will be granted.

Many of us are mostly home right now so please check your coordination and renew it, if it is between 1 and 2 years since your last update/renewal. The renewal is more than a simple renewal in many cases. MARC needs these update/renewals to be sure the coordination data is still correct. Often a repeater is changed because of interference, damage, loss of tower pace etc....

Remember that the coordination is for a particular location with precise data submitted by the trustee. The data is coordinated with other repeaters in Michigan and surrounding states. If the data or location is not as listed on the coordination, the coordination is void and not in enforceable if an interference complaint is received by a third party including the FCC. Coordination only works if the data used to space the systems is accurate. So please maintain your coordination accurately.

MARC's coordinating work has not been effected greatly by COVID-19 as most of the work is done on line and by email. I currently have 6 applications in lineon 440 and 3 applications on the 2 meter waiting list. There is nothing available on 2 meters for much of the southern third of the state.

   1. Activate your Web Browser
   2. Go To https://join.freeconferencecall.com/marc-meeting
   3. Enter your name and email address
   4. Click the phone icon, you will have a choice to
        select using a telephone or your computer for
        audio if you have speakers and mic.
   5. If you select computer you should connect.
   6. If selecting telephone you will be presented with a number
        to dial and an access code.
   7. When prompted enter the access code followed by the # symbol.
   8. Once the audio connects you will need to press # once again
        and enter the synch code followed by the # symbol.
   9. You should now be connected.
       

Participation in the webmeeting is only needed for things like slideshow presentations, or use of a whiteboard where someone may need to do an illistration. It also allows us the opportunity to display the actual text of a motion for everyone to read. If you are unable to participate in the webmeeting you may still join in on the phone bridge from wherever you are.

Meeting called to order by Phil at 1:01 PM

Minutes of the last meeting were read by Ann.
Motion to approve minutes from the December meeting was made by Dan, seconded by Bob, vote taken, minutes approved

Treasurer’s report: The Treasurer is not present. Dan made a motion to suspend with the reading of the treasurer's report. Seconded by Bob. Motion passed.

Old Business:

Fred ,W8FSM, sponsor for numerous repeaters is not responding to MARC requests to renew delinquint repeaters. MARC will hold any new coordination activity until he responds.

New Business:

Corwin – WB8UPM, asked about renewing his 2 meter repeater which he thought had expired. Corwin stated that he was out of commission. The repeater coordination was decoordinated last September 30, 2019. He said that he would submit a TDS repeater update to try for a renewal or new coordination.

MARC Funds balance on 11/30/2019 was $ 3,640.81

Income for December 2019 through May 2020 was $ 74.38 from dues and interest.
Expenses for December 2019 through May 2020 were $ 3.83 for PayPal fees.
