President’s Update:

This June 11, 2022 quarterly MARC meeting will take place on line. Instructions on how to join in the meeting are included in this newsletter..

The June meeting will include nominations for officers with the election following in September. The offices of President Secretary and one Director will be included in the election.

I will not be running for President this year as I have held the position for 11 years. I hope to have more time available to train new volunteers. I am happy to report that the training for KE8OHG to take on the Treasurer position has started and should be completed this summer. I hope to pass the job to David in September. I do have another radio operator interested in volunteering and I am looking forward to working with Wesley soon.

My goal is to have numerous smaller jobs so the work is spread out and less time on MARC work is required by our volunteers. Interested in helping ? Contact me or any MARC officer and we will work to find the right spot for you. mail@miarc.com

   3. If the meeting organizer is already present,
        you'll be connected. If not, you'll be
        placed on hold until the organizer appears.

WEBMEETING & Phone Bridge:

Using your web browser

   1. Activate your Web Browser
   2. Go To https://join.freeconferencecall.com/marc-meeting
   3. Enter your name and email address
   4. Click the phone icon, you will have a choice to
        select using a telephone or your computer for
        audio if you have speakers and mic.
   5. If you select computer you should connect.
   6. If selecting telephone you will be presented with a number
        to dial and an access code.
   7. When prompted enter the access code followed by the # symbol.
   8. Once the audio connects you will need to press # once again
        and enter the synch code followed by the # symbol.
   9. You should now be connected.
       

Participation in the web-meeting is only needed for things like slideshow presentations, or use of a whiteboard where someone may need to do an illustration. It also allows us the opportunity to display the actual text of a motion for everyone to read. If you are unable to participate in the web-meeting you may still join in on the phone bridge from wherever you are.

Meeting called to order by Phil at 1:02 PM

Minutes: Dan made a motion that the minutes of the last meeting be approved as printed in the newsletter. Motion seconded by Bob, vote taken, motion carried.

Treasurer's Report: Dan made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report as printed in the newsletter, seconded by Bob, vote taken, motion carried.

Old Business:

Phil did follow up with Dave, K7DR, on his simplex repeater operations. His simplex repeaters are on simplex and experimental frequencies. MARC does not coordinate simplex repeaters. The operations should be OK as long as they are not causing interference to others.

New Business:

No new business.
