MICHIGAN AREA REPEATER COUNCIL NEWSLETTER

WEB SITE: http://www.qsl.net/miarc        May, 2001          e-mail: miarc@yahoogroups.com

A short note from the Prez………..

The past quarter has been fairly quiet, not much activity going on outside of the normal TDS’s coming in.

As you can see, the June 2nd meeting will be held on their grounds of the Hudsonville Swap. Hope to see a good turn out at this meeting. With not having to many issues to go over, the meeting should not be a long one. The meeting will start promptly at 1:00PM.

The September meeting will be our Annual meeting in Lansing on the 9th, due to the Labor Day weekend being the first weekend. At this meeting, there will be elections for the office of Vice-President, Treasurer, and a Director position. A nominations committee will be formed to accept nominations. If you are interested in running for any of these positions please contact me. The ballot will be published in the next newsletter.

Just a reminder the December will be held in Oakland County at the EOC office on the 2nd. Directions will be in the newsletter, or log on to the website.

If anyone has any questions, you can reach the Board via of the website, or my phone number is 810-465-7126. For those of making the meeting on the June 2nd, I’ll see you there.

73,          Dennis, W8DFG        President

Treasurer's Report:

We have had 53 members send in their dues since the first of the year. This
is not a very good representation of the total membership support for MARC.
Dues are $15.00 for the calendar year full membership and $7.50 for associate
membership. Your support is necessary if we are to maintain the high
 standards of our organization.

 Joel Goldberg, W8HIU, Treasurer

Database Manager / Webmaster's Corner

There has been little database activity since the February newsletter.  Changes over the past quarter include recording dues payments and updating address / phone numbers in our or renewal updates from our frequency coordinator.  As a result, there hasn’t been a need to update the website repeater directory.  By my estimate there are over 50 outstanding TDS’s to be processed.  About half are annual updates or modifications and the rest are new coordination requests.   As of May 5th, I have not received any processed coordinations from our frequency coordinator.
